Central Missouri is predominantly rural and lacks soccer facilities and the infrastructure you find in metropolitan areas.  In the summer of 2015 a 12,000 square foot metal building on five acres was acquired outside of Waynesville, Missouri to create an indoor soccer facility.  The result is a nonprofit cofounded by Jason and Shelly Long, a couple of local teachers who dreamed of helping soccer grow in Pulaski County.  From this facility, the Pitch Academy Soccer Association was formed.  The Pitch offers low-cost training and playing opportunities to hundreds of youth each year through camps, clinics and an in-house soccer club.  It offers programs to develop coaches and referees giving local youth quality soccer experiences and provides playing opportunities in the form of winter leagues and summer 3v3 tournaments.

Pitch Academy Soccer Association is a dedicated rural Missouri soccer organization benefiting youth soccer players ages five to eighteen.  The doors of the Pitch opened November 17, 2015. Pitch Academy Soccer works with hundreds of players in Central Missouri every year connecting families and fans to soccer and providing low-cost solutions for training and playing opportunities.  Serving a geographic area of 2,560 square miles, the association prides itself on its diverse culture and promotes a welcoming safe environment for youth to develop in while working tirelessly to bridge the gap between rural and urban soccer opportunities.
